Waldorf Circle

Come try our newest activity! Ms Morgan will be leading a Waldorf inspired circle time that changes seasonally. Follow along to movement songs and stay a while for a story and an activity based in nature and working with the heart. Topics could include getting our hands dirty in the soil, learning about physics through rolling and weighing, or collecting leaves and flowers for a spring altar.

This class works in tandem with the Morning Circle class Mon Wed Fri, but attendance to all is not necessary.

Waldorf philosophy follows the idea that children learn language best through clearly enunciated, un-simplified speech in the form of songs, stories, and other imaginative and engaging activities. Repetition is another Waldorf theme, incorporating a daily rhythm to provide guidance and predictability to the child's day. Waldorf education strives to engage the child naturally and help them learn through fun, whole body movement and discovery.
