Welcome

We are so glad you found us!

How does Bay & Bee work?

We are a membership-based community. You can sign up in person or online, choose from 6 options based on your families needs.   Come join us for child-led play, classes and special events whenever your schedule allows!

Why do you need a membership for the play space?

We did a lot of research on pay per play vs membership model and decided to create a community environment that helps parents connect and get to know each other.  We felt that our community would be better served through memberships as this lends itself to access any day of the week at any time while making sure our families stay safe and comfortable, especially during inclement weather. The membership also helps us schedule additional classes and activities are tailored to our community’s interests.

It also ensures that our doors are able to stay open to provide this service.

What does a membership cost?

Can older siblings come?

Please keep in mind that even though older children are welcome WHILE accompanied by a sibling 0-5, the activities are designed for your younger child.  We ask you to keep an eye on your older child to make sure they are playing appropriately.

What are your membership regulations?

You will get a membership agreement by electronic contract when signing up.  Here is a link to all of our policies.

What is your sick policy?

Health, Wellness and Cleanliness is a top priority at Bay & Bee.
Illness Policy: In consideration of our other members, please keep sick children at home.  If you or your child have fever, diarrhea, yellow or green runny nose or is vomiting please stay home. Parents and children should not return to Bay & Bee after illness, until symptoms have been absent for at least 24 hours.

Please refer to the CDC’s website for specific information regarding contagious illnesses, or ask one of our staff members for more information.
Bay & Bee reserves the right to send a child home to get well. If your child has allergies, please alert a staff member. Bay & Bee does not have a medical staff available and is not permitted to provide emergency or other medical treatment.

Do you have drop off babysitting?

No. Caregivers must remain onsite to supervise children at all times.

Who can bring my child?

Your child is the member. Therefore, parents, grandparents, babysitters and other caregivers can bring children to play.

Do we need to wear socks?

Yes, adults and children over the age of 5 should wear socks at all times. If you forget your socks, you may purchase some at the check in desk. The cost is $2 and Bay & Bee partners with local charities by donating all sock proceeds.
We can also provide booties for shoes for $2

What should I bring?

Please bring your photo ID, socks and a receiving blanket if you have a non mobile child, as well as your diaper bag, and any necessities for your child.

Can we bring our own food?

Due to allergies and sanitary issues food is not permitted in the play area. You may bring closed bottle beverages though.  We ask that you refrain from bringing nuts and nut products. We have some seating in the cubby area where you may eat a snack, as well as a table and chairs (including a high chair) outside.
Some of our neighbors offer food and they are wonderful!

How do you feel about Cloth Diapers?

We love them!

Is it okay if my child is potty training?

Yes, we understand that children will be potty training. We ask that children wear appropriate potty training gear at all times while playing at Bay & Bee.

Do you offer discounts for playgroups?

If you have a group of 10 or more that would like to sign up together, please email Zuzia@baynbee.com to see about setting up a private event.

Groups who would like to have a play date at Bay & Bee can book our party spot on Saturdays and Sundays for an exclusive use of space and two staff members to coordinate.

Why is it called Bay & Bee?

Monica and her husband spent years throwing out names for this idea. Some admittedly greater than others. Monica was very much against anything with the word monkey or playground in it, misspellings with the letter z and things that looked liked typos were also out. Monica, being a former potter,  had a little crush on Etsy, a lot of her favorite craftspersons shops had an ampersand in the titles. We started with putting animals together(Whale & Bear) then objects (Bear & Basket) the ampersand possibilities were hilarious. One brainstorm session we started saying Baby & insert an array of words. Then just deconstructed baby to Bay & Bee.

What days are you closed?

We are open 7 days a week but have a few holiday closures so our staff can be with their families. Bay & Bee is closed on the following days: Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Are you a franchise?

Bay & Bee is locally owned and operated. Opened in March 2014 out of a need for a place for parents, infants and toddlers.
